Who we are

Brumo is an AI companion you text on iMessage, operated by the HypeDev team. We collect the minimum data needed to run the service and nothing else.

What we collect

  • Your phone number — required, used to sign you in and send messages.
  • Your name — optional, so Brumo can address you by name.
  • Your timezone — auto-detected, used for scheduling reminders.
  • The messages you send Brumo and the replies Brumo sends you.
  • Short facts Brumo extracts from your messages (e.g. “wakes at 6am”) so he can reference them later.
  • Billing details, if you subscribe to Pro, handled end-to-end by Stripe — we never see your card number.

How we use it

Only to provide and improve the Brumo experience. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising. Your messages are processed by OpenAI’s API to generate replies — OpenAI’s API terms prohibit them from training on API data. iMessage and SMS delivery is handled by Sendblue under standard carrier agreements.

Your rights

Reply STOP to any Brumo message to opt out of all further messages. Email team@hypedev.co to request deletion of your account and all associated data. We honor deletion requests within 30 days.

Data retention

Your messages and extracted memories are retained as long as your account is active. When you request deletion, or 180 days after your last activity, we permanently remove your account, messages, and memories.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is limited to a small number of team members who need it to support the service.

Children

Brumo is not intended for anyone under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete the account.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version at this URL with an updated date at the top.
