Your thread stays yours.
Brumo is a private companion. We treat your messages the way we'd want ours treated — encrypted, never sold, never trained on, and easy to delete.
Your thread is yours.
What you text Brumo belongs to you. We don't sell it. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it to train third-party foundation models — OpenAI's API terms prohibit training on API data, which is how replies are generated.
Encrypted in transit and at rest.
All traffic between your phone, Sendblue (our iMessage provider), our servers, and our database uses TLS. Messages at rest in the database are encrypted at the storage layer.
Minimal access.
Only a handful of Brumo team members can read messages, and only for operational reasons — debugging a bug you reported, handling abuse cases. Access is logged.
Messaging is off.
Brumo shut down on August 14, 2026 and no longer sends or answers messages, so there is nothing left to opt out of. While the service ran, replying STOP silenced him immediately.
Full deletion, on request.
Email team@hypedev.co to request a copy of your data or immediate deletion — messages, memories, and profile. Requests are verified against the phone number on the account. Everything remaining is permanently deleted on September 13, 2026.
Scoped to your phone number.
Brumo's memory of you is indexed by your phone number. He has no access to your other contacts, your other iMessage threads, your emails, or anything else on your device.
What Brumo is, and isn't.
Brumo is an AI companion. He is not a therapist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor. He sounds warm and remembers what you tell him, but he cannot replace a licensed professional. If something feels serious, please talk to someone who can actually help. In a crisis (US), call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Outside the US, the findahelpline.com directory lists trusted lines by country.
The short version.
Think of Brumo as a contact you text. The same expectations apply as with any careful messaging app: your thread stays private, access is limited, deletion works on request, and no one's training a model on your conversations. We keep the footprint minimal on purpose.
